Choosing to spend the rest of your life with someone is one of the most exciting and rewarding decisions that you make in life and being able to share in that processes is a huge honour and privilege for me to be part of as a celebrant.
As one of the most significant events in your lifetime, I work with you to ensure your wedding day reflect you as a couple and your aspirations for the years to come.
Weddings format and structure
Together we will design a dream ceremony, one that you will both treasure for the rest of your lives.
This meeting will be to discuss your ceremony at length and all aspects of your marriage and any queries you may have will be answered.
If you decide to proceed with my services, you will need to submit a Notice of Intended Marriage form at least one month ahead of your wedding date (notice of intention of marriage form). You will also need to provide a non-refundable booking fee of $100 to lock in my services. I will send you a very useful resource kit to guide you.
You must also produce original identification. A Birth Certificate if born in Australia and if born overseas, your birth certificate (translated into English if necessary) or a foreign passport is required. Your original identification will need to be provided before the marriage can take place.
If you are living overseas and would like to marry in Australia – You will then need to fill in a Notice of Intended Marriage form and your signatures on this form must be witnessed by an Australian Consulate official who will stamp the form. I must receive this form at least one month before your wedding day.
- You will be given a presentation marriage certificate on your wedding day. However, you will need to obtain a stamped registered copy of your full legal marriage certificate from the registry office before leaving Australia. In some cases you will need to obtain an Apostille Stamp on your certificate making your marriage legal in your country. this can be obtained from the Department of Foreign Affairs office. Please check if this is necessary with your own Consulate before leaving the country.
- Please remember that all documents must be original and in English or have been officially translated into English.
Where there has been a previous marriage, an original Divorce or Death certificate must be presented.
If under 18 years of age, only a court empowered to give a ‘Section 12’ order can give authority for the marriage to be solemnised.
You must also sign a declaration stating that there is no reason why the marriage cannot take place. This must be completed before the marriage takes place.
Another meeting will take place and just before the ceremony and under Victorian Law, I am obligated to:
- Identify you
- Sight other necessary legal documents
You will receive a final draft of the ceremony for any last amendments and a rehearsal will be conducted should you request it.
All you have to do now is get married and your marriage will registered the next working day by me.
I will conduct your ceremony at an appropriate location of your own choosing.

My Commitment to You
As a Civil Marriage Celebrant, I’d be honoured:
To help you create the ceremony of your dreams with advice on content and structure to give you a ceremony that will be a magical memory with a presentation copy to keep.
Publicly declare your love for a partner with a Commitment Ceremony. I will conduct your celebration with the respect it deserves and reflect your right to a ceremony of equal dignity. Each ceremony I create is unique and I would consider it an honour to be part of your special day.
Renewal of vows
If you wish to re-affirm your vows with your spouse (particularly if you’ve come through some difficult times and feel the need to strengthen each other publicly), let me help you make it a truly lovely occasion that highlights your love.
Funerals are such a sensitive time for loved ones and so I provide independent support by using my strength to help plan a beautiful send off at a difficult time. I will help to create a ceremony that is a celebration of the deceased’s life and that also helps the bereaved family to grieve. My experience in the funeral industry in the past also allows me to take extra care and with sensitivity towards the grieving families.
A Eulogy is a collection of memories to be shared at a funeral service and delivered by your celebrant and will include family, friends and work colleagues to celebrate your life or the life of a loved one.
Having your service pre-written will ease your family’s burden when the time comes and will give you complete control over all aspects of your last event in life.
Let me help you or your loved one while still around to confirm the information that is to be mentioned to your family and friends after you are gone.
I will interview you, your spouse, your close family and anyone else you might suggest and build a chronological memory of your life to be shared by people belonging to those memories.
